About myself

Hi,
welcome to my website! My name is Julian Jacob Becker and I enjoy specialising in early European music from the Medieval to early baroque period. I am both a harpist and fiddle player and I like to mix those things up  :)

I studied harp with Claire Piganiol and vielle with Prof. Baptiste Romain at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Pre-college I studied harp with Prof. Andreas Mildner & baroque violin with Prof. Dr. Pauline Nobes at the Musikhochschule Würzburg. I have taken masterclasses with Bill Taylor, Angélique Mauillon and others. I also studied law (LL.B.). You can find me playing with Ensemble Terebinthus and the Mechaje Ensemble, amongst others.

I am quite curious to find new paths in our world and music scene which seem to be ever changing...
